Shelter

Shelters

In impoverished communities, absent male figures often leave single mothers to care for their children, exposing them to the harsh realities of slum and street life.

Lacking necessities and shelter, these children resort to begging, rag-picking, and other precarious activities for survival. Calcutta Social Project operates Shelters and Day Care Centers for girls and boys respectively, providing a haven for vulnerable children and offering daycare services for those in less dangerous environments. This initiative allows single mothers to work while ensuring their children receive education, nutrition, and care, mitigating the risks associated with street life and living in vulnerable circumstances.
